This Spring, the West Taylor Elementary PTO received a grant from the Antero Foundation to help support the Book Vending Machine Program here at West Taylor. The grant will allow the PTO to fully stock the book vending machine twice before the end of the current school year. Students are given special coins for the book vending machine where they are able to choose their own book from the selection offered. Students are awarded books from the book vending machine at different times of the year, including, but not limited to: being nominated for "Student of the Month", for being a top fundraising supporter, and are given a book for their birthday. This year, thanks to the Antero Foundation, the PTO will be able to give students a book at the end of the school year to kick off the Summer Reading Program.
