
Students attending the snowflake dance tonight, please follow the drop off and pick up procedures listed below.
5th grade students attending will be dropped off and picked up in the front loop. Dance will be from 4:30-6:00.
6-8th grade students will be dropped off in the back parent drop off area. They will be picked up in the front loop. Dance will be from 6:30-8:00.

Attention 8th Grade Students and Families:
A reminder that the Governor’s School of Literacy through Arts, Culture, and History (GSLACH) for 8th grade is cancelled for the summer of 2025. However, the Governor's STEM Institute at Green Bank is now open to ALL 8th grade students even if they attended the academy at WVU last year as a 7th grade student. See the attached flyer or a TCMS counselor for more information.

On behalf of the administration, we would like to give a shout out to the Preston Taylor County Health Clinic for putting on a Great Health Fair today! All of the stations were very informative and educational. Thank you for all that you do for us at TCMS.

We will be selling pickles, water and baked lays tomorrow at the end of the day. All items $1.00. All proceeds are used for student rewards and recognition.

The admin presented the boys basketball team with a medal to recognize their excellence in winning the Sam Board Tournament.


The admin recognized the girls basketball team with a certificate for becoming the Mid 10 Conference Champions and awarded a medal for winning the Sam Board Tournament.


The weapon detection devices(metal detectors) were used this morning for a random search. Thank you to all of the students for their cooperation and patience. It was successful with no concerns.

The Snowflake Dance is this Friday! 5th grade is from 4:30-6:00 and 6th-8th is from 6:30-8:30. Parents, you must sign your child out at the end of the dance. We will be selling admission tickets this Wednesday during lunch if your child would like a fast track into the dance. Please have them bring exact change if they’re buying during lunch.


As a reminder, the Backyard Brawl will be Friday, Feb 28. All students must have a signed permission slip to attend. The deadline for the permission slip will be Wednesday, Feb 26. Tickets to attend will be $1.00. The money can be turned into their homeroom teacher.


Our boys basketball team will begin conference tournament play Tuesday at 6pm vs Elkins. This game will be played at Bridgeport Middle School. Go Knights!
