Please congratulate Reagan Taylor, 8th grade, for winning the Memorial Day Essay competition of 2025. As the winner, Reagan's essay will be printed in the official program and she will read her essay during the ceremony on Sunday, May 25th at the West Virginia National Cemetry in Pruntytown. She will also receive a $100 cash/check award. Way to go, Reagan! ❤️🖤

February 1st kicked off "Love the Bus Month" which emphasizes the importance of school buses, viewing them not merely as vehicles but as essential elements woven into the fabric of education. By celebrating and honoring the yellow school bus and its drivers, we reinforce our commitment to nurturing safe and inclusive educational journeys for every student. In doing so, we ensure that this cherished tradition remains a cornerstone of our communities, driving forward with pride and purpose.


Good Afternoon, I would like to take this time to address a safety concern that was brought to our attention today. While I cannot share details with you due to confidentiality, I can assure you that the concern was addressed and handled appropriately with the necessary authorities. We would like to thank WV State Police, Taylor County Sheriff Department and Grafton City Police for their support and immediate response. The administration had the honor of being part of the ground breaking ceremony today at Anna Jarvis for the celebration of their new school that is going to be built. It was an honor to be a part of such a great event with the Taylor County Board of Education and many other state and community sponsors. Thank you for inviting us to be a part of your special day.


Snow day fun on the hill for some of our 6th grade students. These students raised their I-ready benchmark diagnostic testing scores from the beginning of the year to middle of year.

Yay, it's finally time to start thinking about the annual TCMS Scholastic Book Fair! Mark your calendars ; the book fair will be held March 17 - 21 this year. Stay tuned for exciting updates in the next few weeks.


As a reminder, we will have an in school wrestling event on Monday, Jan 27 against Preston county at 1:00. Parents and guests are allowed to attend. We will be selling walking tacos for $3.00 and Ice drinks for $1.00. Toppings for the tacos will include shredded cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños and salsa. The 8th grade team will also be selling soda, water and chips for $1.00 and candy bars for $2.00.
