Bringing a drawing to life with Python Coding!
Juniors and Seniors in Coding 2 were asked to draw an animal on a grid using basic shapes. What they weren't told is that they would next bring a classmate's animal drawing to life by coding the necessary shapes, pen size, fill color and more!

This year, the Grafton High School softball team is hosting a youth camp on October 23-24 from 5-7 pm. The camp is open to kids in 4th-8th grade! This is a student camp where GHS Softball players will be in charge, with adult supervision (coaches). We will be doing mostly fundamentals: in-fielding and out fielding, pitching, hitting, and running bases. On October 24th, we will cut practice down early (5-6:30) to have a Halloween party to thank the girls for participating! If they have a costume, they are more than welcome to wear it for the Halloween party which will start around 7:15.

GHS Library students visited the county library yesterday. They found the county library to be so cool.
They also visited the Bluemont Cemetery, the local coffee shop, the county courthouse, and the national cemetery, where they found the graves of the veterans they will research this year.

GHS Homecoming Poster Contest - The senior class president and vice president wanted to add a new component to Spirit Week this year. It will be a poster contest competition for two categories: class that turns in the MOST posters and best school poster. Posters must be in color, on a poster board (not a sheet of printer paper), must have your first and last name and grade printed on the back. ONE POSTER SUBMISSION PER STUDENT.
Please see Mr. Waters or Mrs. Himes for any questions!
