TCMS hopes that everyone had a safe & happy Halloween! 🎃 👻

These 8th grade students got 100% on their blookit multiplication facts game!! ❤️🖤 Goooo Knights!!!

Let’s celebrate Halloween the “Knights” way. Tuesday, Oct 31, students are allowed to dress up for Halloween. The face cannot be covered up as we need to be able to identify all students in the building and no accessories are allowed that could be used as weapons. Let’s have a Great time, Knights!! ❤️🖤

❗️❗️Important ❗️❗️
The 8th grade field trip for tomorrow has been cancelled due to weather conditions. We will not be able to reschedule.

Fun Tip Friday for Families
One way to improve your child’s literacy skills is to link what is read in the book with real life. For example, if you read a book about the park, take your child to the park and point out the slides, swing sets, etc., that were seen in the book. Check out this short video for ways to support your child.

Mark your calendars! 🗓️❤️🖤

Thanks to 6th grade student Seth Poling for coming up with our castle pass idea.
Students have the chance to earn character awards during our weekly Flex Time state of the school address in which they will also get a castle pass.
Castle pass allows students to cash in this reward to get to the front of the lunch line.

Please join us in congratulating our TCS “Students of the Month" for September and October. Each of these exceptional students was selected as an excellent ambassador for his or her school. Congratulations to each of these excellent individuals! Way to represent!

The TCMS Boys' XC Team was recognized during Tuesday's board member for receiving 1st place ranking in all 10 meets. Way to go, Knights!

Yesterday and today the entire 8th grade participated in “Book Tasting”. Approximately 165 students had a seat at the table in Mrs. Vassil's “Restaurant”. On top of tasting 5 genres of books, they also helped me celebrate National Down Syndrome Awareness Month by meeting and speaking to her daughter, Kaitlyn. Thanks to everyone at TCMS for being so enthusiastic and for our librarian, Mrs. Conti's, help! ❤️🖤

8th grade English students learned poetic devices while listening to and reading Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven". The tricky language is much less spooky when broken into smaller sections!
