Today, our 8th graders spent their Math Blocks with the GHS Counseling Staff to schedule their freshman year classes! The paperwork that was brought home today needs to be returned Tuesday, March 7th. Only 3 more months of being a Knight for those 8th graders! Thank you GHS Counseling Staff for your help today!
Our TCMS Scholastic Book Fair is finally coming, so save the date! Our bookfair will run March 27 - 31 this year and our students will visit during their ELA classes. We have a family night planned for Tuesday, March 28 where we leave the doors open until 5:30 for friends and family to shop. Mark your calendars, the countdown has started!
⚾️ Tryouts are scheduled for Monday 2/27 from 5-7:00 at the Taylor Co Fairgrounds. Please note that this is a closed tryout. Parents/guardians are welcome to wait in the parking lot or return at the end. ⚾️
If you have not attended any of the flex days, you will need to provide a current physical (if not already on file) and your insurance verification form.

Taylor County Schools would like to thank the law enforcement community for their support as we worked through the threat to Grafton High School this weekend. The threat has been mitigated and all involved in the investigation are confident our schools and surrounding communities are safe. We will continue to monitor the safety of our staff and students daily to ensure we provide a safe learning environment for all. We remind all that if you see something be sure to say something to school administrators or local law enforcement. Together we can make a difference.
Summer School 2023
Good morning! We are excited to announce that this year's summer school will be held July 5 - August 3 (Monday - Thursday). Over the weekend, Taylor County School administrators were alerted of a school threat made toward Grafton High School. Law enforcement was immediately alerted, and is conducting an investigation. As a result, schools throughout the county will have an increased presence of law enforcement on Monday, February 13, 2023, and longer if deemed necessary. Grafton Police Department, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, the West Virginia State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are monitoring all aspects of this investigation. We believe there is no immediate concern for our schools and surrounding communities, and students should report for a normal day of instruction on Monday. Our primary concern is the safety of our children, and all efforts are underway to ensure school buildings and their surrounding campuses are protected. Updates will be provided as more information is available.
Reminder: Monday, Feb. 20th is a Faculty Senate/Professional Learning Day for all Taylor County Schools. (No School for students)
