Here's to another Snow day on Jan 8, You get to play in the snow for one more day, isn't that Great!
Put some extra logs on the fire and on the hot chocolate, add some marshmallows,
Put on a movie and grab your favorite blanket and pillow.
Play some more video games or read a book,
Grab a spoon and help your parents or Grandma cook.
Fix some cookies or brownies if you wish,
Or perhaps pizza if that is your favorite dish.
Regardless as to what you do, just have some fun and enjoy the snow,
Run, play, sleep, sing or watch your favorite show.
The admin will see you soon, as it has been awhile,
But we promise as you return we will greet you with a big hug and a smile.

All Taylor County schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8th, 2025.

Jan 7 is going to be another snow day,
So go outside and play.
Drink some hot cocoa and sit in front of the fire,
Play some indoor games if you desire.
Enjoy the time with your family and friends as well,
Extended time in the snow is swell.
Build a snowman, make a snow angel if you might,
Or make some snowballs & have a snowball fight.
Be safe outside riding your sleds,
Stay warm with your toboggan on your head.
Play, play, play, like there's nothing to do,
We'll see you soon, from the admin crew.

Go Knights!

8th grade English classes created blackout poems using paragraphs from the short story "A Christmas Memory", as well as learned the 3 types of irony while reading "The Gift of the Magi", creating their own wintry examples.
