Digital Imaging and Multimedia Year 1 Student Showcase β
Junior student, Nicole, shares a recent Adobe Photoshop 2022 class project!
Project Goal: Create a composite image blending photographs.
Students were provided five image files to use features from each to create a blended scene. Students were to incorporate environment elements, such as the mountains, sky, and beach. Students learned to use brushes of varying sizes to create accurate layer masks, rasterize layers, use a variety of keyboard shortcuts to improve their workflow, and to use advanced options in adjustment layers to modify specific colors in an image.
The completed, blended beach scene is featured in the top right of the collage. Nice work!
Digital Imaging and Multimedia 1 is open to students in grades 9-12. The course also fulfills a Fine Art graduation credit.

Congratulations to Elias Rubenstein for passing his audition for all state choir. He will represent GHS in Charleston March 3-5. Congratulations to his teacher, Mrs. Mayle.
Students are chosen from their high school. They then learn 6-7 pieces of music from classical to spiritual and modern music. Each region holds auditions where a panel of 3 judges(choral educators in the state) choose excerpts from the music and then the students sing on demand that section.
