To honor this beautiful celebration, students learned about the significance of ofrendas (altars) and the ways they are used to remember and celebrate loved ones who have passed. Each student created their own ofrenda, adding personal touches to honor special people in their lives. It was a day of learning, creativity, and respect for a tradition that celebrates life and memory. 💀💐🕯️
🎉🌺 Our 8th-grade Spanish classes came together to celebrate Día de los Muertos by decorating beautiful altars! 🌺🎉
Each class worked as a team, pouring creativity and respect into their ofrendas, and we held a friendly competition to see which class’s altar stood out. Congratulations to 8th Grade 4th Period for winning the competition! 🏆👏 But a big shoutout to all the students for their dedication and hard work – every ofrenda was amazing!

Students were immersed in the rich rhythms and passionate dances that represent Latin and Iberian cultures. The performances were unforgettable, sparking curiosity and appreciation for the beauty of these diverse cultural expressions!
