
Yay, it's finally time to start thinking about the annual TCMS Scholastic Book Fair! Mark your calendars ; the book fair will be held March 17 - 21 this year. Stay tuned for exciting updates in the next few weeks.


As a reminder, we will have an in school wrestling event on Monday, Jan 27 against Preston county at 1:00. Parents and guests are allowed to attend. We will be selling walking tacos for $3.00 and Ice drinks for $1.00. Toppings for the tacos will include shredded cheese, tomatoes, sour cream, jalapeños and salsa. The 8th grade team will also be selling soda, water and chips for $1.00 and candy bars for $2.00.



Back in November Mr. Chiado sent a video audition to the Band Directors Marching Band. This band is comprised of band directors from all over the nation representing all 50 states. Mr. Chiado has earned one of the 13 snare spots on the drumline! Mr. Chiado will be marching in the 2026 Tournament of Roses parade!!! Congratulations!!!


Attention 7th Grade Students and Families:
Taylor County Schools is excited to announce this summer's Governor's STEM Institute at WVU is scheduled for June 28 - July 5 and July 20 - 27. See your school counselor for more information and the application process.

Walking tacos will also be sold for $3.00 that will include topping options of taco meat, sour cream, lettuce, salsa, cheese, tomatoes and jalepenos along with Ice Drinks for $1.00.

6th grade is having a sledding celebration for students that raise their I Ready scores in Reading and Math. It will be Monday, Jan 27 during the school day.

Taylor County Schools is excited to announce this summer's Governor's School of Literacy through the Arts, Culture, and History is scheduled for June 22 - 27. See your school counselor for more information and the application process.


All Taylor County Schools will begin on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Friday, January 24th, 2025.


Back Yard Brawl Feb 28, 2025 GHS High School GHS Faculty vs TCMS Faculty in Volleyball $1.00 per student and concessions will be available. It will be during the school day.


The Regional Spelling Bee will be on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 12:00 at Fairmont State University(Wallman Hall Theater). Registration will begin at 11:00 A.M. TCMS will be represented by Alivia Pitman, Reagan Taylor, Maddie Bowers, and Bella Asebes.

All grade level Snow Day Packets are available online. Go to the TCMS website, go to menu, click on parents/guardians and then click on NTID packets.

Tomorrow, Thursday January 23rd, 2025, will be a Non-Traditional Instruction Day for all Taylor County Schools. This is NTI Day #4 for students. Students will learn from home and staff are to be available for support, from their assigned work site, from 10am-3pm.
