8th grade watched Narnia: The Musical at the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre in Morgantown on 12/20. The field trip gave students the opportunity to compare and contrast the book to both film and theatre, as they discussed and completed post-performance activities in the classroom upon return to school.

Monday, December 18th Taylor County Middle School will be taking over the WVU Coliseum to participate in the WVU education day. We will be leaving TCMS at 8:30, tip off is set for 10am. Departure from WVU at 12:30. Just a couple of reminders: no back packs or bags will be allowed into the building. Only clear bags will be allowed, students who bring a lunch from home are encourage to place it in a gallon storage bag. (Walmart bags do not count) If a student would like to purchase something from the concession stand, there will be 3 concession stands available for cash payment. We encourage everyone to wear blue and gold to help cheer on our undefeated WVU lady mountaineers.

8th grade Social Skills class organized a fundraiser to support TCMS PTO. The students created a Microsoft form for orders, tabulated the orders, calculated the amount of materials needed, packaged the bundles and delivered to the customers. We are very proud of them for working hard and raising $170 to give back to an organization that is always helping the students at TCMS.
