Library students went on their 12th annual walk Thursday. They visited Bluemont Cemetery where they learned about local folklore; the Taylor County Courthouse where Jaron Freeman and staff gave an excellent tour of the records rooms, voting equipment, and county commission chambers; the Taylor County Historical Society, where Darlene Ford shared the beginnings of our county’s history; and the Taylor County Public Library, where many applied for their library card and got to experience the old newspapers on microfilm. The county librarian graciously provided them with pizza and crafts, as well, and the Whistle Stop cafe downtown served them refreshments while they listened to old stories about Grafton. Finally, they visited the Grafton National Cemetery to locate and capture pictures of the tombstones of their veterans so they can embark on their year-long research projects. It was a fabulous day to enjoy Grafton by foot and the students send their thanks.

Thank you to Core Natural Resources for the time they spent at GHS today. They visited GNN to help them with information for an upcoming video contest.

REMINDER: Tomorrow is picture day at GHS!

Good evening Bearcat Community. We are seeking an individual who would be interested in serving on our school LSIC. LSIC is an acronym for Local School Improvement Council. The LSIC helps develop and promote the school's vision, encourage involvement from all stakeholders, and represent the voice of the community. The required members for the LSIC are defined by state policy. We are blessed with an active group. At this time, we have an opening on the council for a community member that does not have any children in the school and is not employed by the school. We are required to meet 4 times per year. If you are interested or just want more information, please contact Mrs. Shumaker.
🍂🎃 Happy October 1st... Fall has arrived at Grafton High School! 🎃🍂
A huge thank you to Colton Gillespie for helping decorate the front of our school as a part of GHS Student Council and bringing the spirit of the season to our campus. Your hard work and creativity make our school look festive and welcoming as we step into October! 🍁✨
Be sure to take a look at the beautiful fall touches next time you’re in front of the school — it’s the perfect way to start the month! 🤩

Join us for the upcoming events with the Spanish department!
